- IP address (anonymized or truncated where feasible)

- Legal compliance: in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process; or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfer: if My Projects is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may transfer to the successor, subject to this policy.
6. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above:
- Inquiry data: up to 24 months from your last contact
- Client records (contracts, invoices, communications): seven years, as required by California tax and contract law
- Photographs: indefinitely for portfolio use, unless you opt out (see Section 9)
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it.
7. How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including:
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for all website traffic
- Encrypted database storage with access controls
- Two-factor authentication on internal accounts
- Limited access on a need-to-know basis

We may use photographs of events we plan and design for our portfolio, social media, and marketing. If you prefer that your event not be photographed for these purposes, please tell us in writing before your event date. We will honor your request.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services frequently involve events for children (birthday parties, quinceañeras, bar and bat mitzvahs). However, our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children online.
If a parent or guardian engages us for a child's event, any information about the child is collected and held under the parent's direction and consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information online, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
